Surrounding Friends

Haha, third blog entry for today. Well what to do? This has been a very 'thoughtful' day. :P
On Sunday, I was watching a DVD. The DVD is on the professor I mentioned previously, talking about her opinions and understanding of Analects of Confucius. One of the episodes was talking about treating friends. This was the second time I catch the show, which explains why the "distance" blog entry that I written a few days ago. Anyway, during the episode, the professor said that if you actually want to know who a person is, the best place to look at is the friends he surround himself with. I find this interesting and quite logical. Chinese have a saying "Things are group by category, human are group by the crowds. For English, the common saying would be, "Birds of the same feather flock together." I think no need for me to explain both of them, smart readers would know what it means.

So I look around me, who are the friends I associate myself with most. Quite varied though but if you talk about associate with often, I think it would be people that I think would be successful in life, or they are smart (not academic smart), or there are some characteristics that I can really learn from. (Friends who are reading this, pls do not ask me why I associate myself with you. This is a trick question, I would not answer it :P)

Coincidentally, I was going through my Friendster and was looking at the testimonial left by my friends. Now in my friendster, I do not have many friends, in fact I think out of all my friends who has a friendster account, I have the least number of friends in my account. Haha! For other people who do not know me, they would have thought that I am a hermit. Haha!

Those testimonial in my Friendster account, was very well written. Well, although they are few, but they are all praises about me. (Of course lah, if write bad things about you, you will publish meh? Hehe!) The best consolation was that there are friends who bother to write good things about me. Not to sound arrogant, but I agree with what they say, especially the part about being intelligent. Haha! But I think at the end of the day, I am satisfied with the network of friends that I have. I have not have rejections from people don't want me to join their groups. Come to think of it, there is one time..... Hehe! Not writing here :P

Well I need to stop here, very tired already after packing the bags and I think I overtaxed my brain (got such thing meh?) Wanting to take a proper break but too many things need my attention and I think I forgot how to take a proper break. Hmmm..... when can I take one man!? Haha!
