Be the Miracle
Usually for a Saturday afternoon, I will be doing some reading but for today, I felt the need to laze around and just go with the flow. Doing those things as and when I think of, which explains why I am writing my blog now. Currently, I am in a transition phase, since I am looking for a job now. My only wish for this transition period is that I hope it can end soon, with a good ending of course, which is to get the dream job that I want, so that I can start planning on what to do with my websites and my job together. Yesterday was also closure of a large paragraph in the life chapter of working in the research center. I have yet written the final paragraph of this life chapter yet, and that will have to wait until I found a job.
As I was channel surfing in YouTube this afternoon, I happen to stumble upon the full version of Bruce Almighty. Yes, if it sounds familiar to you, it is the movie that starred Jim Carrey in it with Jennifer Aniston. It is a nice show and if there is one sentence I should take it with me for the whole show, it is the sentence, "Be the Miracle". Inside the movie, Morgan Freeman said something that touches my heart and let us know that the power to create miracle is really within our hands. Haha, you read that sentence right. Let me give you what he said in the movie.
"A single mom that is working on two jobs but found time to take her kids to soccer pratice, that is a miracle. A teenager that says "no" to drug but "yes" to an education, that's a miracle. People want me to do everything for them, but what they don't realise is, they have the power. You want to see the miracle son, BE THE MIRACLE."
If you notice carefully, it is the definition of miracle here that is important. How often have we wanted something big, define something that we cannot achieve and it happened as a miracle. But we do have the power to make things happen, if we try hard enough and of course with the right strategy.
Understand that you have the power to achieve miracles in your life. Start with the smaller ones and that will build confidence in you. Slowly, try to achieve bigger miracles and touch more lives as well. As you move along, you will gain more skills and build up existing ones to achieve bigger miracles. Start small and move to bigger miracles. So yes, I better start small and slowly move to bigger ones. Somewhere down the Stream of Time, I am sure I will be able to give up the sampan that I am in and instead be in a cruiseliner that carries gifts for all those that I come across. :)
Saturday afternoon......
Cheers! :)
