Job Hunting

Well, the last interview I mentioned in my previous post went well. It was the longest interview I have. It was more than an hour long and I did not even realize that. Anyway, the interview was very disorganized and informal actually, with two interviewer coming in at different time and ask me the same questions.

Well now have to wait for a week, if I get any reply from them, for the next stage of interview. But after the head interviewer told me about the job scope, I think they better give me a high salary before I even consider taking up the job. Because the way he put the job scope, I have to wear my red underwear (if I have one) outside and put a 'S' symbol in front of my chest. Haha, but anyway, I will still follow through the interview process to sharpen my job interview skills and if I am offered a job, I will decide from then. I might not be Superman but I really relish a challenge in my career right now. I guess as long as the new job does not touch my weekends, I am fine with whatever work they throw at me. Anyway, I can learn a lot of stuff from the work, and these skills and knowledge are easily transferable, and that is the most important.

It has been two weeks since I am away from the centre. I do miss the centre, the people and the canteens as well. Haha! I think I need to go back one of these days to try the stewed beef rice that I only tried once! Yummy! Although the beef might be a bit tough, but the overall taste is nice. And I miss my Korean Ramyeon, although it is cooked using instant noodle. And my ice milo!!! Argh!!! Attachments, attachments! Haha!

These few days, I have been able to do what I wanted to do for a long time and that is...... to read up on Business Analytics, starting from Data Mining. And also read my business books as well. Let me tell u one benefit of meditation. I can remember and understand better the materials I am reading now. No kidding. But I did find my reading speed to be slightly slower from last time. I guess it is a result of being mindful of what I am reading, the brain taking more notes on the things I am reading.

Another thing, ever since the bloody GST is up, most of the food prices have gone up. :( by 10-20%. My favourite stewed duck rice have raised their price of food by 50 cents, and bread costs have risen by 20% as well. My mixed vegetable rice have shrunk! Sianz leh, wanted to buy something to chew, to exercise my mouth also cannot because I do not find it value for money at all, after the price increase. If GST is to be raised another 3 times that would be (1.2)^3 and the price of bread will be 1.728 of the original price. Can u imagine that? Three small loaf of bread, cost that much? That is why I decide to call GST, short for Great Slimming Technique. Because don't want to spend the money on food, I can thus slim down. Haha!

Crossing my fingers more interviews will come in the the coming weeks! And I just receive news I have two days of training to conduct for this month! Yeah! At least there will be some income coming in! I just hope the phone calls to invite me for interview comes when the trainees are having lunch or doing exercise. Haha! Oh, also to those who are leaving the centre this month, all the best in your new work place. May everything run smoothly in your new job!

Cheers!
