You Sure I have Picked it Up?

Yesterday was a public holiday, Labour Day. Manage to spend it with my best friends and went to watch the Blockbuster of the Year, Spiderman 3! :D It is a nice show, the plot is superb, the CG was great and we manage to catch it in 4K digital. But what I like are the lessons that are found in the whole story. I shall not write about them here. What I want to share is other stuff.

In life, there are many problems that we have, some of them keep on repeating itself or just come about in a different nature. Usually the first time when you meet the problem, you are not able to solve it ideally, but comes second or third time, when it is of similar nature but different environment and people, you are able to improve on your solution and solve it closer and closer to the ideal solution. (If you are not able to provide better solution, you might be stagnating in life, or muddling through life).

The reason why we are able to do that is because as we move on in life, we pick up experience and experience of others as well. We are able to expose ourselves to the many possible solution and judging by those that have went through it before us, we are able to know the consequences of each solution.

As we move on in life, we also sharpen and pick up new skills as well for instance, negotiation, communication, writing, public speaking and many more life skills. This helps us to better execute the strategy thus enabling us to achieve the ideal solution/result.

Looking at these two points, it is easy to deduce then that in order to solve or even avoid the many problems in our lives, we need to firstly gain as much experience as possible. But how much personal experience we can gain is limited by the time. So like I mentioned a lot of times, open our ears and listen to other people, make them share their experience with you, only then can you accumulate faster and more experience.

Second point is to be continuously improving and gaining skills, especially life skills like communication, financial planning and so on. Because these skills are not taught extensively in education institution unless you are studying them as working skills.

With these two points in my, we would be able to solve most of the problems in our life and be better prepared for it.

Cheers!
